I picked up this Lorex NVR to build out a larger setup, and the 4K 30fps recording is genuinely sharp. Person and vehicle detection works well and cuts down on pointless alerts from trees or passing shadows. The 16 channel PoE switch made wiring simple, and expandable storage up to 2 × 16TB means I won't run out of room soon. The 6TB drive gives plenty of retention out of the box. It's a serious recorder for a serious multi-camera install, not a casual plug-and-play gadget. Setup took some patience but the performance is worth it.
